As revealed for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, the lug-like system isn’t going anywhere. But before its newest VaporMax silhouette arrives, Nike will continue outfitting models like the VaporMax Flyknit 3 in compelling colorways.
Unlike the Flyease-exclusive VaporMax 2020, this upcoming pair features laces, though they camouflage with their grey tongue. Uppers slightly vary in shade, but they’re knitted, too. Forefoot and heel overlays proffer further contrast, as well as structural reinforcement, but pale in comparison, just as black profile Swooshes, to the tan Apollo space suit-inspired tongue labels. Underneath, the light brown scheme reappears in the fan-favorite “Gum” outsole application around high-wear zones. Elsewhere, VaporMax units keep their standard clear finish.
